Just curious. I don't really use FB that much, wondering if I am missing out...
We have a Facebook page???
I try to avoid the sites that make money by mining and selling anything I do.
No to FB.
I rarely go on Facebook
Here for anything of substance
Facebook is only really good for pics or a quick 914 thought that doesn't need a thread or real feedback IMO
I tend to believe no good comes from social media places like Facebook, etc. Bunch of posers from what I have seen in the past.
I have absolutely no interest in Facebook or any other "social media" sites. That's what we used to call "chain letters," no good source of reliable information.
FB is heading for cassette tape status. Still around , but most want something better. I come here
100% Here...
Forum only.
Facebook and other more social-type sites (see: Reddit) are really tough places to follow things like build threads because display is not time-based.

Fixed it.
DITTO!
Facebook still exists? Why?
much of the postings are cryptic.
while i like facebook for seeing what old friends and classmates are up to, i find the quality and organization of information here is superior.
viva la mundo!
FB, nope.
Instagram, nope.
Pinterest, nope.
…, likely not.
The Facebook page is Eric Shaes I believe
No FB.
I always come here.....
Only reason I even got a Facebook page is for local wheeling and dealing , buying and selling used equipment and parts, etc. recently bought a good used 80 gallon 5hpair compressor for $400.
there is way too much shit information on FB, and too many trolls. I almost never look at the 914World FB page.
Zach
Face book sucks
I have it up at the beginning of the pandemic
Don’t miss it at all
The real knowledge is here
Have never used facebook and don't plan on starting...
Don't spend much time on social platforms—and certainly not on a personal level. Trolls, politics, privacy issues, and other ugly stuff make them less and less attractive.
Besides, social media is—by design—effectively useless when it comes to archivable/searchable info. Forums are roughly 10,000% better.
Thanks again, @SirAndy!
NO TIME to waste on social bullshit.
FB once a month
IG no
Twit no
But Tiktok just had a "girls dancing without bras" challenge that I enjoyed
No social media for me, thank you.
When you have 914world, what else do you need!
-Best information
-Best people
-Best cars
-Best! Period.
Only here, don’t have Facebook or any other social media. Car forum boards only.
I prefer my 914 content undiluted. Here all the way.
I often refer others to here. No politics, and we all have one purpose - our cars!
We have a very diverse and cool community here.
Thanks Andy for making it so.
Pretty much here - I use Facebook to point people here....
The FB page gets a lot of post but I rarely see a serious tech question get answered like you would on this site…..
An old wise man once told me:
I used to wonder what other people were thinking. Then I got on Facebook. Now I don't want to know.
I am not permitted on face Plant. And you do not really want to know about all my baggage. Waste of life. Time you will never get back.
I used to have a facebook page. I dumped it a long time ago. Lots of people on there sucking up time I could be using for more important things.
I don't like the politics of FB, but it fits pretty seamlessly into other hobbies of mine. I'm in vintage downhill mountain bike groups, watch groups, local neighborhood groups, Land Rover groups, and of course the 914 and vintage Porsche stuff. No other place can bring me updates on people's projects like FB and Instagram. Just need to learn how to sift through the garbage and hide people you might have issues with. And at the same time realize that there are never winners in internet feuds.
For any real tech info it's always here though, or for project threads and classifieds.
I was a moderator on a local European car club forum for many years, we fought the rise of Facebook groups tooth and nail, eventually we had to hang up the pride and create a FB presence for our club and just let people choose one, the other, or both. The club members were generally younger and eventually it got to the point where we shut the forums down due to inactivity.
100% here for useful and helpful information. I trust the guys here and non at all in social media.
I do have FB for keeping my extended family updated with photos. My wife and others tags me. I don’t post at all or hardly responds to messages.
I do like IG just for photos of 914 and food. I follow a fellow in Japan that shares photos of his 914-6, race cars and ramen.
No tiktok because the dancing bra challenge keeps me glued to the screen and I won’t have time for other things.
Facebook is great for the marketplace.
You just need to know how to navigate it. You are able to block peoples post so you don't have to wade through their BS.
I use it for other vehicles I have that don't have good forums.
Jake Raby has a facebook page that I enjoy learning things on. Plus you have to get accepted, so there are not many people spouting BS.
You really just have to know how to use it. It has evolved so that it is easier to access the content you desire.

I like Facebook and Instagram (Follow https://www.instagram.com/914seis/) to share photos, connect with other enthusiasts and owners, etc. Where-as I prefer 914World for topics that require more substance; How-to's, Technical items, Tips, etc.
.... Remember to follow https://www.instagram.com/914seis/
914 world only. Great site.
This survey only makes sense if it’s also done on FB.
For me it’s only here (no face book).
No Facebook. Do not support commy socialists.
I "have to" spend some time on Facebook because of the business.
It's not the political portion I don't like, it's the idea that you are the commodity, they are sneaky about how they collect data, and if you use messenger (at least on android) it defaults to it for texts unless you reset it.
People still use FB???
I used to be on facebag! There, now you know what I think of it. A lot better info here. Yes I miss some of my classmates. That was a long time ago. No I don't give a crap what you are having for dinner or how cute your cat is!
I haven't opened a FB page in close to 12 months.
I suppose I'll have to update my business page if I have any breakthroughs on hardtop kits though.
Delete FB. It's a cancer.
Here. The FB page is all over the place, and is generally lazy people asking the same questions over and over and over that have been answered here in much more detail. Who then get bent when you suggest they search first.
But that's why forums are generally superior to social media for technical support. Social media is better for being social.
This is the only 914world that counts. F**k FB.
