914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Air Box Question for 1.8L FI System

Posted by: rbzymek Oct 27 2021, 04:25 PM

Having replaced the single carb with an L-Jet FI system a long while ago leads me to this question. Is there a bracket which the air box is attached? All along the air cleaner is just resting on the runners. The 2.0L D-Jet system has a bracket but nothing in the 1.8L diagram.

I’m replacing my intake tube this weekend. If someone hasn’t posted pics by then, I’ll take some for you.

But yeah, my airbox has a metal plate inside and one bolt through center-bottom.

For the L-Jet system, there is a bracket that attaches to the frame rail under the relay board.

It does not attach to the runners.

Thanks all for your help. Lyle has a bracket on offer which I will purchase.

There is no better resource anywhere for 914 owners than this site.
