914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Upcoming videos

Posted by: iankarr Nov 26 2021, 09:14 AM

Hi Guys,

As many of you know, I've made a bunch of 914 videos covering lots of teener topics and it feels great to give back to this amazing community.

Interestingly, more than 80% of the people who regularly watch my videos aren't subscribers. I'm told that YouTube prioritizes channels with over 5K subscribers and I'm pretty close to that number. So...I'd be super grateful if you'd subscribe (if you haven't already). It's totally free and you'll be automatically notified whenever I post a new video. There are a bunch coming up...

– Finishing the 2056 engine and first start
– Rear suspension
– Steering and front suspension
– Brake lines, MC and calipers
– Tangerine firewall bushing
– Door actuators
– Targa and trunk seals

Also happy to take requests!

Here's a direct link to the channel. You can click the red "subscribe" button on the upper right side of the home page, or in any of the single videos.

Hope you all had a great holiday and THANKS for your support!

Ian

Thanks for your videos; I have been a subscriber for a while. It’s my understanding that what YouTube measures is the minutes wateched per month, not the number of subscribers you have. There is a guy on YouTube called Dan Gryder:Probable Cause, who goes into this several times between his other videos on airplane crashes and their causes.

Also why you wind up with so many videos with 25 minutes of filler and babble around the actual content. People doing their best to game the system in order to get paid. Of course in most cases the content they produce with that 25 minutes of filler is usually the most epically stupid or ridiculous thing they can think of for the sole purpose of getting peoples attention. Credit to repair videos for being the one useful thing on there.

I cant imagine how much more productive the world would be if someone came up with a better platform that didn't reward stupid behavior and wasting time.

Todays entertainment makes me want to go watch re-runs of Cosmos before my brain turns to mush!

Plus Carl Sagan had a 914, so there is that.

That's true. They also measure likes, comments, and how long you watch without skipping. But I'm told that creators with over 5K subs are seen as having a more stable viewer base and get the benefit of the doubt in the algorighm. Who knows? The whole thing is kinda scary.

Subscribed as soon as I saw your first video. Keep them coming Ian! You give us new owners a ton of tips and it’s very encouraging to know we can do some of this stuff ourselves. The best part of having these cars is that so many give back to the community that it’s a lot easier/less of a challenge to keep them on the road.

Funny thing, I usually watch the video several times. Once all the way through. Then sections as I do the work. I'm sure that will buy you more time. But honestly, most of us watch your videos more than once.
