Looks very nice Dax. Of course we need more pictures and details about the car.
The wevo kits are no longer made.
Beautiful car.
Endurance fuel tank - wow!
Can we see more?
Full info and pics will follow. Never saw a build like this one…
Tank was nowhere to be found…
It was made from scratch and Fia approved !

Intrigued by that throttle control setup. Would love to see more of that and how it all routed inside the cabin. Very cool 914.
Fuel tank is trick. Look forward to more.

Rally spec 914/6 GT tribute car
Goosebumps ! This was shot last saturday on public roads so he had to be cautious ... I am the silent guy next to the driver trying to film and not sh*t my pants
Dax
FANTASTIC!
That was fun to watch!
Super Car.....
Thanks for sharing
All right here we go .... This weekend I had to chance to look(and enjoy a ride as a passenger) at an amazing car. The car started life as an Ivory white 73 2.0.
The owner participated in the P2P rally (Peking to Paris) with a 911 safari. During this harsh trip he started thinking of doing it again but then in a 914. He contacted BMA sport (a Belgian company building rally cars) who had build his 911 before and after a lot of brainstorming the build began. It took them 2 years to complete. The car was completely stripped and scanned by computer to see where the stresspoints are and how to reinforce the car to become a full blown rally car. I went through the pictures of the build and I was blown away... the reinforcements, the roll cage, the suspension makes (from Reiger ! google it) this car so rigid that we took a speedbump at 120 km/h (scared the sh*t out of me).
A few comprises were made as the P2P rally is a serious trip.... the seats are a bit more comfortable, the rear trunk is out of metal (the fibre glass one is used for normal rally) as they had to install a rack to carry a spare tire (P2P regulation). The GT muffler was replaced by a Dansk exhaust as the driver and co-pilot nearly went deaf during test runs. A led strip was added in the trunk (they need to carry their own luggage).
The fuel tank could not be found to they've build it fm scratch. It is now FIA approved !
I never saw a 914/6 GT tribute car upclose and several things caught my eye... the car has two distributors (one in use and one spare) and has double throttle and clutchcables...if one snaps, pop the broken one off and pop one the new one... great idea.
The engine is a 2.7 RSR spec car build by Mittelmotor Germany and the sound and power is amazing.
On the pics you will see the 5 lug fuchs but they during rally special rally rims and tires are used ... the brakes are all ventilated discs and special calipers. When he hit the brakes my neck nearly snapped
The car did testruns in Romania and Portugal and soon will go to Sweden (the owners intends to just drive up the car to Sweden !!!) to participate in a historic car rally. With the Bjorn Waldegard livery I think the crowd will go nuts.
What I like about the car and the owners is that the car is used for what it is build for... this is not a trailer queen but a full blown rally car.

a bit more 914 porn
a few pics of the test runs in Portugal and Romania --- they went hard
Honestly this car gives me goosebumps. I saw some nice builds online but I am a bit proud that this car is in Belgium. We are just a tiny dot on the map and I never expected that such a nice car is only 15 km away from me
bye for now

The only complaint the owners has is the shifting and therefore he is looking for a Wevo Side shift kit. Mepstein came forward and I passed on their contactdetails to see if they can work something out ....
It is just great how this board can perhaps contribute to a special car
bye for now
Dax
wow, just wow. Thank you for the great pictures and sharing the info Dax.
Wishing them the best of luck. What a machine. I need to study these pictures more.
I love the fact that the car is driven. Not just built for show.
What a car ! I read the article on it in a french magazine, and was impressed by the build!
Thanks for sharing!

Great pics and video. Do I see fender liners. Mark
An awesome build, duel T cables, duel plug but one dizzy at a time. Redundancy for the Win. Tell your Pal's "Too Cool" and thanks for sharing, Dax
Sorry guys but I just can’t get enough of this car…
Walkaround vid. https://youtube.com/shorts/9OkXZkZxG2E?feature=share
note : before somebody thinks there is something with the passengerdoor... the door has all new rubbers and you have to slam a bit harder than I did ...
Enjoy
Dax
Tell me those roads in the first video are one way traffic. I am guessing not, damn those are narrow roads. I miss driving in Europe. Always something exciting just around the next corner.
Keep having fun Danny
Very impressive car and one that may have you itching for a 6
Best regards,
Bob B
Beyond Awesome.
I like that car. A LOT.
