914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Do I need to make these? Potential GB for "early " cars

Posted by: Mikey914 Mar 10 2022, 09:18 AM

I have a customer that is having an issue with carpet not fitting, and when I checked my 72, it fit. Couldn't figure out why until I dug down a bit.

I forgot the early cars have a small foam block to help shape the foot area.

I'm wondering how many folks are missing these and if you could get one for about $30 would you be interested? Figured a few others are probably missing these too.

I’ve found enough of them to satisfy my need but I don’t speak for everyone

It’s one of the few things on my car that isn’t rusty.

There are a few different versions of these, I dont know how many.

The one in the photo above.

My 74 car is different than the one shown above

The 75-76 cars have a cavity for the emissions odo counter/odo cable splice.

Maybe more.

Yes, the early ones are definitely different from mid year.

I have a '75 here...so that's what the channels are for, but this one has nothing in there.
