This may be posted already but it's close to home.
A gentleman with whom my wife works with and a fellow Reisentoter member was killed on Sat. at a drivers ed event at Watkins Glen. I don't have details except that he lost control on approach to the "boot" section. He was driving a Boxster.
Kindly remember him in your prayers. He was 61 years young. A very nice fellow from Sweden.
God speed Bengt-Erik Wilholm, our prayers are for you and your family.
Dion and Kim
thanks for posting that.
there is nothing (yet) on the Riesentöter http://www.rtr-pca.org.
i had already committed to adding a roll bar to my car although it's not technically "necessary" (but darned if i can find another way to reasonably add 6-point belts to a Targa...) before driving at the Glen.
i've wanted to drive there for 30 years, and i still do.
the sport is inherently dangerous; we do what we can to protect ourselves but there will always be risks.
there was a story in a different http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?act=ST&f=2&t=35865today. sucks.
hope his family is doing well.
