Ok guys, the date is set. It's obvious we're not going to be able to accommodate everyone, so it looks like we're good for the 13th of August.

Please keep this date in mind as it would be nice to get a good gathering. Come next week I would like to have somewhat of a headcount as to who is going to show so I'll know if we need to set a reservation. So please, if you are a definite, please respond so we can keep a headcount.

If you do not respond, we may under-reserve and have seating issues...

IIRC, if you've got more than 25 people showing up, they prefer to make a menu for the group (4-5 entrees) and everyone pays a set amount of $ no matter which entree they choose. It's easier on the staff, but not necessarily fair for the patrons.

That's fine with me...it makes it easier to figure out the bill.

Oh, BTW, I'm not volunteering for the collection plate!!! I know I'm an accountant, so that automatically "excludes" me!!!

I'm going to set a lunch time of 11 AM as I know we'll be doing a lot of socializing, I'm sure. I would say that everyone should start showing up a little earlier so we can get everyone gathered and sat by 11 or shortly after.

The reason I'm setting a fairly early lunch time is because I have a salon visit set for 1:45 and I can't miss it. I've already waited over 3 months to get in. Hope no one minds...

There's a free triple level parking structure across the street...unlikely to park together though.

Note that the best parking is BEHIND the place, which isn't at all obvious as you drive up. There's a dirt lot across the street from the front door, but there's a big paved lot around the back. Our usual lunch space is a big room at the back, so the rear lot is actually more convenient.

I don't know. I have a hair appointment at 1:45 and Angel has a baby shower at 2...There will probably be some people still there at 12:30, but I'm sure 1 will be slim.

Update:

The Tied House opens at 11:30. I have set the reservation for that time on the side patio (back room was taken ). So for those who want to "pre" socialize, please show up at 11:00 so that we can make sure to be ready by 11:30 to sit and order...

Pic 4, I like to call these the M&M cars. They were the first here, and were so bright and shinny, they looked good enough to eat! I tried to adjust the colors for the Blue, but couldn't quite get the depth of it to come out in the pic. Truly nice!

Britain showed. He, the wife, and the sprog were all at the other end of the table from you. Gwen showed up late, and was all the way at the very end of the table.

Gwen's car has really nicely done SC flares. McMark and I were both feeling under the fenders for any tell-tale welds, and it was perfectly flat. Impressive work. I didn't realize until talking to Gwen this used to be The Cap'ns car. I saw photos of that car 6-7 years ago, and thought those were perfectly done flares at the time.

Thanks, I think Andrew's work on the off-car fenders is not going so well. If he doesn't get the one's on his done then maybe we'll weld on the stock fenders.

Yep, brought the kids. Wife was bugging me to get a sitter all week, but never did find anyone to watch em. Its funny, I didn't even take any fotos of the wife and kids, per se. I had some with each in several pics, but not one all together. I have one pic with my oldest son and half of my wife, but its not a good pic of Brad. He has the deer in the headlights look, or shocked to see a camera. I couldn't do that to him. I respect him too much.

Sorry we didn't meet formally. I showed up at 12:15p. Hung around a while after lunch but many folks bugged out immediately after eating.

And for the record... GTEENER used to be Kap'n Crusty's son's car before I bought it. The flares were already done. He said the flare work was done by Beach Boys in SoCal. ...I like 'em too!

Gwen, why are you not in the pics, ELUSIVE???? Taing Pics of 914's is one of my favortie things to do. I keep a camera with me at all times. I have a decent collection of cars I see on the road, or parked while I am touring.

I went down to Beach Boys in about 93. They were working on some Dr.'s converson to a black Tesstarossa kit (popular in the 90s). They were helpful in forwarding me to a shop which sold me a 911 SC complete front end including the vented rotors, calipers, aluminum steering rack and sway bar and all that connects them.
