That reminds me of my drive through Big Sur on my way to the WCR in Marina.
I was following this blue VW panel van that was hauling butt; my 914 was working just to keep up.
When I arrived at my destination, it’s Nathan driving the van !

WCR 2012, the 1 north to Monterey.
They were doing a lot of construction on the bridge, and were alternating traffic 1 side to the other, a guy with a sign. I came up with my friend Kirsten. I was like, "hey it's Jim!" I think I was behind you? The bus kept up with the pack on the tail end of the drives.. barely
