Does the electronics console on the left side of the 914-6 engine compartment have a cover? I have been looking for one and now I am not sure it has one? School me and show a picture if available please.
Just saw this and now I am more confused...

the cover was changed when they installed the retractable seat belt, it was necessary to angle the top of the cover to fit under the bolt plate, so the one without the slope is correct for a 914/6

Yep, my Mar '70 -6 came with a cover, threaded rod and knurled knob just like the picture. Interesting there is no Porsche logo or part number on the cover.
yet again mr b's ( @http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=104 ) fab website comes to the rescue.

that will get the concourse kook judges tits in a tangle.
whats it to be then gents.
as it left the factory or after they decided to fix the fark up.
could be punch ups on the golf course lawns over this one.
Ok,
So they missed me on the recall. I would like to source a cover. If you have an extra that will fit, PM me and let's make it happen.
I see in the recall there are 2 "rubber strips" and a stopper. It seems to me that the cap is supposed to be held on by rubber bands and I guess the stopper is to plug the hole that the stud would go through.
Here's the board from my early car on the left next to one from a 71 on the right. You can see there's no boss even to mount a stud.
Yep, my early '70 car has the same relay board with no mount stud for cover.
Early board also had metal capped relays and wasn’t potted on the bottom.
Somebody needs to 3D print these...hurry up!
