914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Need help identifying 1.7 upper engine tin part

I heard a rattle coming from under my car while I was driving today. I saw something near the battery box down low. Looks like one of the fastener slots broke off. It was on the passenger side attached to the engine near the battery. Anyone know what this is called? My car is a 1973 1.7 Thanks in advance. Sean
