Has anyone used a Tiptronic with a type4 motor?

I think there were a handful of 912's with that 3 speed automatic transmission,..

You mean the Sportomatic. That's not the same as a Tiptronic.

I haven't heard of a Tip mated to a Type IV, but that's not to say it can't be done. It's definitely larger and heavier than the stock transmission for any Type IV motor.
