Donate to the Runoffs Tent Fund:

From September 19th through the 25th Eight 914s will be competing in the SCCA National Championships this year at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.


If you can't attend or participate, you can still provide your support.
Our goal is $1500 to pay for two 40x20 tents for 10 days and to put together a 914 Club Party at the track.
Now's the time to stand up and be counted!

We're at $249.14 thanks to some generous donations!

(a couple of pyments were by credit card and I still have to upgrade my Paypal account to process them. Paypal is gonna get 2.9% of everything once I do this)

Thanks Guys this is really going to be a great event. And we have some key space for the tents. I have contacted Excellence to inquire if they wanted to do a story and have gotten a response for information only, no commitments yet. This could be excellent advertising for the club. Through the article.

We have $374.14 in paypal contributions and some checks in the mail.

Camp914 is the biggest contributor so far, by a factor of two. Thank you Craig!
I think Craig deserves one of my Tee shirts for his generosity.
Anyone else gonna join the "Century Club"?

Come on guys, we haven't even covered the cost of half the tents yet. We travel just 4 weeks from now.

7 914s competing in the Production classes and one in GT2.
This is going to be a good year for Porsches at the Runoffs.

Is the $350.00 tent still available?
What’s the fund amount up to, and how much do you need ?

The $350 tent (20x20) is still for sale by the rental co.
We're renting two 20x40 tents, blue and white.
I'm also bringing end panels but probably nothing for the front and rear. I expect to back the trucks/trailers up to the rear of the tents.

The fund is at nearly $600. Hoping to accummulate close to $1500 so we have enough for the tents and a 914club barbeque on the weekend. Speaking of the party - does anyone not too far from the track have large charcoal or gas grilles to bring, or should we plan on renting?

I'll be starting a thread for volunteers and spectators within a week or so.

Brad's in 911 heaven. I doubt they'll let him come to Ohio.

Guy Wanegar stopped by my shop today to join the Century Club. Yesterday I got Garold's check in the mail.
That puts us just shy of $700 so far, which is almost halfway to our goal.
We have about 3 1/2 weeks left to prepare for this event.

I know everyone is thinking about more serious places to contribute their money right now, since Katrina. We are close to making this Club Sponsored event work out though. If a few more people kick in we will have enough to rent the tents. The racers are going to kick in enough $$ to put on the barbeque.

EP race Saturday
FP race Sunday

Come and see some of the fastest 914's in the country (in their classes) no time like the present to get this thing a rolling. Take a trip , see some racing, meet some people that you would not necessarily get to meet all under one tent, come one come all (in my best carny voice of course). No one will have as many 914's under one tent since the Daytona celebrity challenge.

The original goal was $1500 but I think $1400 would probably cover us.
Adding the $250 that I expect to collect from drivers when I see them at the track will bring the amount to $1285.12.

Chris, I don't have a Pay Pal Acct, so I got a hold of Joe Buckle, who does, and he's sending $125 for me, that will put the balance over $1400.
