I wanted to say thank you to all of the LA area teeners for coming out to the Porsche Experience Center in LA Saturday to surprise Bob for his 70th birthday.

Bob showed up to the ultimate surprise of having his 914/6 #41 delivered and showcased front and center at the Porsche experience Center. He was then surprised when he sat down for lunch at the 917 restaurant and is very own matching custom office chair. But, the big surprise was all of the 914 friends out in the parking lot when he came out of the restaurant.

Special thanks to Oscar for making it all happen. It was especially tricky because we had to keep it out of social media so Bob wouldn’t find out.

Bob’s car is incredible. The detail around the glove box lock is unbelievable. It’s the little things that catch my eye.

Pretty cool to see not one but several 914 builds that are on a level that most of us couldn't even have imagined a decade ago...and as always the 914 people themselves really make it all come together, was great to see everyone turn out

A very happy birthday and ensuing birthday week, and birthday month. The 18th would have been my fathers 99th birthday. We are all lucky to be part of this 914World.

I haven't had too many surprises in my life this was absolutely one of the biggest ones. I want to thank everybody involved. When we came out of the Porsche Experience it really was unbelievable walking out and seeing everybody, there were so many of my 914 buds (guys and gals) all coming up saying hi how you doing, happy birthday. it really was. Well incredible.

Thanks again from the bottom of my heart. A very special 70th birthday. More pictures and video to come!
