Please chime in on this thread if you are interested. Please keep your RSVP current so I can update our reservations.
I'm interested. My 914 won't be ready but I would volunteer to be a passenger/navigator.
Hi Bob, I am certainly interested. If you need help with anything just let me know. I was just thinking about the covered bridge run we did near our cabin. Let me know if you need any info about that.
To Mr. Kopf, I believe that I will be by myself on Friday so you may ride with me if you like.
Hey Bob,
I'd be up for that. Let me know!
Cheers,
Chris
I’m down. Sounds like fun.
I'll try to come up, if the wife isn't working should be easy.
Might be time again.
Group hotel?
Bar?
Rich
Got it on my calendar....count me as tentative for now
I might be in for this
Have to check out the new location.
Reservations are made for our group at Desperate Times Brewery on Friday, April 28 at 6PM.
Ask for "The 914 Club" upon arrival.

This is very close to the swap meet.
More details to follow.
Engine pre-swap started last weekend when I took the engine lid off. Goal is to have the new engine in and adjusted by Hershey. Looking forward to the pre-gaming activities.
Zach
I am in Bob. I may trailer #1 for the drive because I have some stuff to sell.
Anyone want to share a table. ? Hotel The famous Knights Inn?
I miss Hershey. I need to check out the new location and that is my birthday weekend starting Thursday. I will give it some thought. I sure will miss Underdog's wings though.

Stayed at the Econo Lodge last year. The price was good but it is RIGHT off the exit of I 81 and was VERY noisy.
Trucks with Jake brakes coming off the highway all night.
don't recommend it but only for that reason.
We are staying at Homewood Suites by Hilton. I think the suite we got is a little over $200.00 but we have room for all of us 5 people. Grandkids are coming. Got to start them young. We will be at the dinner!
Looks like I will be attending this year as a birthday trip. I also need to pick up my birthday gift. Not sure if I will have a car with me or not. Probably not. Original plan was to drive my '75 up, but now I need to haul something so who knows.
Shoe
Is there anyone attending that would be interested in splitting a hotel room?

I am trying hard to get the new 3.2ss there. I have to drop engine, install engine tin, install setrab oil thermostat, make windshield washers work. Put some kind of oil catch system because oil tank is up front and breather hose was run over roll cage. Change out steering wheel shaft and I'm sure a few more things. Fingers crossed.
Matt
For anyone interested, I am planning to hit Underdog's Sports Bar Thursday night to feast on wings for my birthday if anyone wants to join in.
Shoe
I got a room at the Holiday Inn express. $134/night most others are getting sold out already. FYI
AkA LE with the Raby engine.
Well, I'm likely out.
Amy is getting another surgery a few days before this on the 25th. So I'll probably be back in nurse mode. Will be her third surgery in 2 months. We found out that she needed this go-around while she was in recovery from her surgery last Tuesday, and then yesterday they said they wanted it done ASAP.
@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=8354 I'll try to sneak out Thursday for dinner though. I just need to make sure someone will be home to take care of Amy. And I expect you to drop by the house and say hello!
Zach
Prayers for Amy. We can reschedule our other activities for another weekend when it is a little warmer.

So.....
Betty saw this thread, and said to me "Do you want to go?"
So we just booked round trip flights and a hotel, and we are flying in on the afternoon of the 28th.
You gotta love a woman that loves 914s as much as you do!
It is a great show. 500+ Porsches or so.. Mostly newer cars but a few old ones show up and represent.
Matt
Schedule of events added on post #1. Please keep your RSVP current so I can update our dinner reservation. Looking forward to it!
Our flight won't get there early enough to make anything but the brewery that night.
But we are looking forward to seeing everyone.
1 week away.
Bob, thanks for organizing this event! I'll be joining for lunch and the drives, but can't stay for the dinner. I'll be driving home and then back up Saturday morning for the swap meet. Look forward to seeing everyone again.
The weather looks terrible for Friday. I'll keep an eye on things and make a judgement call later in the week.
Dinner is still on and I'm working on a plan B for the day.
Please keep an eye on post #1 of this thread - I will post any changes there.
Four of us will be there for dinner but not the drive. I wouldn't drive my car down with that much rain anyway. I just hope it doesn't ruin the swap meet?
Sorry - I am not going to make...got business travel next week.
Hi Bob!!
I hope I am doing this right. I've been using computers since the early 80's and 914world has the most confusing application I've ever dealt with! Hopefully I've stumbled on the correct response.
Anyhow, I will be joining your event on Friday. Due to the inclement weather predicted at this point I have changed my plans and will be bringing my Colorado pickup rather than the NEW914-6 Boxster.
Looking forward to your event no what the the weather is.
Cheers!!
Howard
There will be five of us for dinner. My grandsons little league got canceled for Saturday.

Itinerary updated on post #1.
Matt and I will be there to visit Air Cooled Racing. That was something we were looking forward too but won't get there until maybe 4:30. We will see how the trip down is with the rain.
Enjoy yourselves! Try and stay dry.
Even with the rain I wish I was there! I wanna drive my car and see people.
Zach
Well, I didn’t make it there today. Slide off the road in the rain on my way to Bob’s.
Still trying to process this.
Well that just sucks. All passengers okay?
Oh no Michael!!!!!
I feel bad for you man. Good thing is no one was hurt, bad thing your beauty got injured. 2 more good things though, well 1 good and 1 helps feel not as bad. Your car had been in an accident before with Chris so it can overcome this ding. Plus, now you have an excuse to get flares
Sorry to see your mishap Mike. Judging by the amount of trees it looks like it could have been way worse. Glad you’re ok. Tis but a scratch
That totally sucks, Mike. So sorry
Wow sorry to see that.
Was it still drivable?
Over the years I had a couple misshap like that. Mine looked worse.
That just sux! Sorry to see that happened. Glad you’re ok. I’m sure you’re totally pissed. I would be, Thing is, It’s only metal. You’ll make it whole again.
Hang in there!
Oh man that sucks must have been the day yesterday. I was not in my 914 but my truck got rear ended , frame bent , probably totaled
Thanks everyone for the words of encouragment. I'm past the emotions of the situation and I'm focused on getting my car repaired and back on the road this summer. The damage is mainly to the passager front quarter panel and suspension. The A Arm broke at the base of the strut and the strut came free. The rear bumper was also hit and shifted about 4-6" towards the driver side. There is some body damage there too which is the same place I repaired when I bought the car from Chris's crash. The truck/hood/doors/headlights all function normally and still look well aligned. The police towed the car to the closest shop and now I need to get the car to a shop experienced with our cars. Wish me luck.
Ben, sorry to see your truck was hit. I hope you're taken care of. My wife's SUV was hit while parked last month and we just got it back but their insurance was good and easy to work with. I hope you have the same experience.
I hope everyone had fun yesterday at Bob's and Air Cooled Racing. Share any pictures you took. Also if anyone took pictures at Carlisle today I'd like to see the turn out this year.
Dam. Yep roads were slippery. I got out of my truck on my way to Bob’s house after checking in at fairgrounds to see if my table slid out of the back. When I walked around the truck my one foot slid on the blacktop.
You’ll be back on the road before you know it.

Michael, I am very sorry to see that. I am glad you were not hurt. Hope to see you soon. John
It's always a great time hanging out with my 914 brothers & sisters, even if the weather doesn't cooperate.
A big thanks to Steve Limbert for having us over for a shop tour Friday afternoon.
Dinner was a blast. Derek from Sweger Restorations put together a "name this 914 hardware" game. When the dust settled, Clay emerged victorious. Howard, Tony & Matt battled it out in "sudden death" for 2nd place. After several hard fought rounds, Howard took 2nd.
Congrats to our winners! Thanks to Derek for setting this up.
I hope to see everyone at the Northeast Gathering.

Very cool Bob and thanks for setting it up, it was a shame I missed it.
