914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Valve access with 75-76 exhaust system

Posted by: pistonboy Jul 17 2023, 02:03 PM

Hello

I have a 1974 vehicle with a 75-76 exhaust system.

Is it necessary to remove the heat exchangers to gain access to the valves for adjustment? It appears this way.

How is it done? Is it necessary to remove the heat exchangers?

Thank you.

No need to remove exchangers. It can be done with it intact. Takes a little finesse.

the key is a very long feeler gauge: something that looks like this:
