Great pics....MORE!! MORE!! MORE!!
From listening to the everyone on this board talk, you would think that every one of us has a rusted out car on jack stands. Then you see the event pics and they all look like show quality cars! Are you guys holding out on me??
Great shots!!!!
What kind of camera is it?
Bob
I Jeff Bowlsby, I didn't mean to hold out on you so here are a few images of my BEE.
Attached thumbnail(s)
Jeff , I have many photos of the two LEs at the MWC 05,as you will see.
Attached thumbnail(s)
Hey thank you BIGKAT 83,my camera is a Sony Cyber-shot 5. mega pixel. The camera is three years old so for a digital camera it is getting old,but the nice thing about this camera is the large lens, and adjustable body for viewing the display at different angles.

I have to give some space for my friend in Ohio, Brad was a winner in his class at the MWC 05,and at the Hershey Porsche Parade. Brad is the original owner of this perfect 914. Brad drove his car to the Porsche Parade, who needs a trailer.

Hi Dick, feel free to go ahead and post your photos. I have more to post ,but if anyone has MWC photos, you are all welcome to post them.
Hi again Nick.
I shot my wad & everything I have is posted. My personal favorite was George K's (out of Illinois) 914-6 GT conversion with metal flares (canary yellow). I had many favorites, but this car I would buy if available.
Have any of his car??
Tom
Fantastics pics Nick. I dig the low angle shots. Nice to use grass as a soft base for grabbing the angles!
Too bad the Corvettes could not play, but the 914s were lined up and ready.
Attached thumbnail(s)
Almost drive time. The line up is looking great.

Hey Tom, I didn't forget the 914-6 GT,but I have only one full photo of the car. I will show more later ,but they are only parts of the 914-6 GT next to other 914s.

Hey Nick you are obviously a talented photographer, and I know that a lot goes into a shot that must be simply intuitive to you. Can you share a few of your tips? You know...what is it that you do to get photos that are so crisp and brilliant. There is a very noticeable difference between your photos and nearly every other picture on this website. Are you doing any photoshop magic? I bet you shoot at high resolution and maybe with some kind of filter?
Tell us so we can be more like you....
That light metallic blue car with the Boxster wheels looks very familiar........
Perry,
The little blue car did great. Everyone seemed to really love the color. I've been trying to call you for some time to let you know. I tried to drum up some business for you at the event because I received lots of questions about the car. I already called John and filled him in. Both of you did a great job and its still a blast to drive .

watching all those cars going to hell ...

Hi Jeff Bowlsby, thanks you for your kind words about my photos. The key to enhancing photos is using photoshop. There are about six steps to follow.
1. CROP THE IMAGE: Remove areas of the photo that take away from the greatness of the cars.
2. IMAGE SIZE: Resize the image so you have a nice large image to view. Now remember if it is a digital photo of 5 mega. pixel the image size is about 36"x 25" so your new size will be 15" wide by maybe 6" after cropping with a resolution of 72.
3. SHARPEN: When you sharpen an image on photoshop it is good to use alittle, too much, and your image will grain. I use UNSHARPEN MASK under shapen tool. The setting are AMOUNT: 100%, RADIUS :0.3 pixels, THRESHOLD: o levels.
4.HUE/SATURATION: I use SATURATION to pump-up the color. I have been using +10 to +18. Move the slider and see what happens to your image. It' all in the adjustments.
5. BRIGHTNESS/CONTRAST: I sometime use this tool if my photo is too light,or too dark. When you have to lighten an image using Brightness it sometimes looks pale, and than you need to use the Contrast control to pump-up the detail. Alittle goes along way when making adjustments.
6. SAVE: I try to keep the Quality setting to high or medium depending on how large the file becomes. My photos are about 280 kb's to 370 kb's.
I photo cars as if I were going to use them in art work. I use high, low ,and normal angles to photograph a car. I look for details as reflections ,and how people and trees flow in the surfaces. This all adds to a great or better photo. I do not use any filters, and my camera is a Sony Cyber-shot 5.mega pixel, model number DSC-F707.
This is a great looking porsche with the racing graphics.

MYGOKRT, I think all of us feel the same way about our 914's....I know I feel that my 914 is the go kart I always wanted.

Hey Jeff Bowlsby how is the photoshop enhancing coming? Post a photo of your Bee or Grasshopper with the use of photoshop. Let me know if you need anymore information on it.
SirAndy, I'm sorry I don't have a photo of the motor, but there is a 6 in the car. The Andy here show me and started it up for me. Andy is pictured in the other photo of the car by the driver's door wearing a cap.

SirAndy, you are correct. It is my mistake, the front, and rear bumpers of a 916 are much more molded. All four fenders have steel flares, and the rocker panels were made of fiberglass. The top was steel ,and nonremovable. The 916 is a different animal compared to the 914-6.

SirAndy, you are correct. |

Great wide angle picture. Would look good on a certain calendar.
Nick,
You are very talented. Your pictures surpass any on this 914 site. I understand this is an extension of your daily work. Looking at your business card. Nick Moskatow, Senior Creative Designer for GM. Looks like your talent is an extension of your daily General Motors work. That last picture could be a poster print edition.
Way to go Nick. Looking forward to next year's MWC 2006.
Tom
Face to face on the field. Two very powerful Porsches.

Thanks, Retore2seater, and thank you Tom Bliznik. Yes I sketch cars for a living at GM. I was thinking of starting another new topic on what would a redo on the 914 Porsche could look like for 2007 if Porsche would consider making a $25,000. car. What do you guys think?......Check out this view of the white track Porsche.
