914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Brought home some parts.

Posted by: mepstein Aug 11 2023, 06:23 AM

Did another big parts haul. 4-26’ Penske trucks full of stuff. Mostly 911. Bob/Saigon and Howard helped and were awesome. Most of it is now stored off site. Just the engines and some trans took over the shop. Hard to see but there’s well over 100 bins sitting on the deck. Now to organize and find a place for everything. Did I say my back hurts.

It’s all located at our shop and remote storage. Nothing at my house. Wife could care less.

That's the way to do it! We had a shop for years I filled with Porsches, VW's and parts, lots of parts. Gives the flexibility to pick up parts hoards like this.

Nice score!

Look at all those 911 engines waiting to go into 914's!

You find the best hoards, or they find you. Glad you are keeping this stuff out of the scrap bin.

Wow that’s a lot of stuff!!
Four Penske trucks full of parts….and one Penske truck full of cash to pay for it! LOL
I’m glad you got it!

We did a 2-26” Penske truck haul from Texas. Flights down, hotel rooms, truck rental/miles/gas, 200 Home Depot bins, flights back for guys, hotel rooms for drivers. I didn’t add it up but I bet it was $15k just to move it all.

It’s not like the shop isn’t already full of parts.
Yes, I know I need to clean up. It’s gotten a bit away from me this summer.
