I have owned probably 35 914s & 914-6s over the years, but being the skin-flint that I am I have transitioned into another Porsche Model.
Near 50/50 Balance
Long Time ago (after & during my 914s days) I Owned a 944NA that I tracked in the Early Days of PCA DEs
Sold the LS car and worked on the Track car, but never tracked it due to Covid, etc
Issue with the Track Car is with my Knee Replacement I could hardly get in & out.
I put it up FS but the market for Track Cars is weak
a couple of Months ago I bought a 944s2 Cab ( I have always wanted since I worked for Porsche in 89-90) with a bad motor
so I parted out the Race Car ( 15k motor, clutch, gearbox, coilover suspension, Brakes, Wheels) and sold it as a Roller
Looks good either way.
Didn’t like the LS car? Just out of curiosity….
Welcome to the cab world….best way to enjoy a ride!
Lower the rear……just sayin
Silver "pops" better than the gold for me on that color.
Nice Cab.
I like the silver too. That came out righteous
I love these cars and prefer the silver on your white - but i'm a cup guy...
Oh, a real Porsche
Reminds me how timeless the 9/24944 design is, and created only a few years after they penned the 914.
I had a plain vanilla 1987, and may have to have another.
I went the opposite way, from Speedsters and other 356's, 911's and a 930 to multiple 914's
Bought and sold a 924S track car (my Covid project that never got me to the track as well!) and also had a nice 1987 944 (non cracked dash and recent clutch job and only 38,000 miles when I bought it in 2009)
They are really nice cars. Not as much fun to me as the aircooled cars, but often quite better in the right circumstance.
Enjoy the S2 cab!
