914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Possible Manufacturer of Engine Tins

Posted by: 914Sixer Sep 16 2023, 11:24 AM

On theSamba.com there was this ad about needing 2.0L cylinder head for prototyping Type 4 engine tin. Looks like 411/412/Bus type about ready. Sent PM to see if he was doing 914 stuff.

FWIW, I posted this last February on another thread...
Dansk is currently in the development process of engine tins. They are investigating the differences between the tins of all the model years and also having to consider the task as it relates to their current tooling of VW products.

I'm definitely down for some new tin that is affordable. Sure Jake has carbon fiber that looks sick, but for almost 3k, no thanks, I'll cobble license plates together.

Worked with Clark at Awsome Powdercoat about engine tins. He is going to make them for 914 2.0L. Target price is $300 powdercoated. popcorn[1].gif

Been a minute since I've been on here. And look at the thread here...
I'd absolutely would buy 2 or 3 sets at $300 apiece. You said you need tins or
heads?

He needed a set of 2.0L heads and I sent him some so he could get plug angles for tin.
