I was watching that. When it came on I expected it to go for over $100k. But not $200k. Maybe some Rennsport influence?

That's a BIG number! I'll have to read through that. I hadn't seen it until now.

I got into this train wreck almost solely because I wouldn’t be driving an expensive car. My policies remain unimplemented. huh.gif

don't worry worn.
its an exception to the rule and its a 6.
its a double NN NARP.

NNARP = not a not real porsche.

and it likely cost damn close to its selling price to create.
its being bought by someone who likes to drive and likes to drive a thing built to be driven and knows that to do it themselves would cost of all of those $ plus angst of getting it done.

i think for the moment run of the mill 914s are still everyman territory.

maybe super original low mile even basic spec cars are going up in value.
but not stratosphere.

but i know what you are saying.
we don't want the parts going through the roof or where is our fun that we can afford.

Well there's that video, but I believe that what it really was the fact it was a Brumos built car, famous engine builder Jerry Woods, and Pelican Parts founder Wayne weighed in with positives. So, it had a lot going for it plus several people who really wanted it.

The people involved and the fact that it was a real /6 were why that thing went as high as it did. I was pretty interested in the fact that it wasn't stock or concourse correct by far and still sold for that.

It is a real six, so starting price is $100k + cost of add-ons parts and labor.
Not an unreasonable price, but not my cup of tea.

Not sure I like the photography. Just not quite right. Front GT fender have a sharp edge? rears look nice. All the nice back-drops and whats with the ceiling seems in the hood shots, not a quality capture.

Incredible car with incredible folks working on it.
Worth all that money.
Just try and duplicate it...you can't.
It's was nearly perfect.
