914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Shift lever bushing?

Posted by: technicalninja Apr 17 2024, 01:32 PM

Did a bit of searching before this post.

Couldn't find what I'm hunting...

I traded shift levers with another member and his lever does not have the brass(?) bushing in the bottom of the lever.

This bushing is what the connector pin goes through.

Are these available separately or are they considered part of the shift lever?

The one I sent had a bushing in it.

I've never seen one without the bushing in it until today...

There were two different shift levers.

The tail shifter had a ball on the end of the shift rod.

The side shifter had a coupler on the end of the shift rod.

Sounds like you have a tail shifter and need a side shifter.

Post a picture of what you are seeing to be sure.

Yike's yikes.gif

$20 for what should be a $3.50 bushing...

Gotta find an old one (I probably have multiples).

Or, build one ninja.gif

I'm a FULL BLOWN MORON!

Had I spent more time looking at ALL of the packaging and less researching, bother you guys, and wasting everyone's time I'd have not made this thread...

That greasy little bastard was stuck to some of the bubble wrap!

Ninja ashamed!
