A few days ago, I noticed a milk crate in the alley behind my home stacked full of 20th-Century magazines. My interest piqued, I sorted through the magazines and happened on two Playboys. Reading the articles (as we used to say about our purpose in buying Playboy) between pages 32 and 33 of the July 1972 issue, look what I found:
Yup - it's a great campaign.
I have 'em all - ready to be framed for the garage of the house we're planning. they're cool!
Here's a composite of them all.
I DO have them framed in the garage. Cool poster for sure.
I read it for the advertising! :-)
You didn't add any other articles with photos??
Why is this in the Sandbox? This should be in the garage.
I found them all by searching the web - most on eBay. One by one…
I would like to clear up some confusion on the 914 Playboy Magazine Photo's posted here :stir
I sent a message to "SirAndy" a few weeks ago (11-28-2024) if he wanted them for 914-world & no reply
I collected all the Playboy Magazine Photo's back in early 2007 to make some garage posters & still have all the mag. photo's in archive boxes.
I contacted & sent a complete # of Playboy magazine photo's to Mike Biles aka Zunfolge in Colorado Springs CO in July 08, 2009 to process into DVD's.
FYI: Not sure is Mike is still 914-World active??
Mike: scan them all at high res, he cleaned them up and burned them into a DVD's sent back to me along with a few huge garage posters like the one's showing. I believe I sent one to Eric Shea at his PMB original garage & the other one can't remember??
Anyone out there in 914-World have equipment or knowledge how to make "Garage Posters" if interested contact me.
Tom in MI.

Jeff Bowlsby has low-res scans on his 914 page.

That's a genius advertising!
I have it in digital form (PDF) if anybody wants it. It’s a pretty good sized file, so I don’t think it’ll fit in an e-mail. Had it printed somewhere (Kinkos? FedEx store?) and then dry mounted on foam core. Then measured it and bought a metal frame from Americanframe.com. Then ACE hardware for some glass and you get this…
The evolution of the 914, created from minerals of the earth, destined to return there.
Love the posters
It’s good to see that there are still heroes out there willing to do the hard work of painstakingly working their way through periodicals like Playboy in order to bring us the best 914 ads…. I salute you all. I would have been dehydrated after the 3rd issue.
No "Centerfold Porsche"?
the 29mpg porsche print ad was made as a TV ad too.
