Phil Spector actually drove that thing around hollywood back then, it got real hot inside, had poor ventillation at street speeds and no A/ C either. You don't actually think he will go to San Quentin do ya ?
I heard that gas prices were so ridiculous now, OJ and Robert Blake are CARpooling to save on gas--while looking for their wives real killers biggrin.gif

The Daytona coupes raced by Shelby were all 289's. They started construction of a revised 427 version, the Daytona Super Coupe, but it was not completed as Ford wanted Shelby to concentrate on the Ford GT program and not the GT class. That car has since been bought by a private owner and completed. I've seen pictures of it. I don't know if it is used for historic racing or not.

That whole story unfolded not too far from where I live.

In the end it seemed like everyone got screwed, except the lawyers.
