Okteenerfest remains in east Tennessee for 2026. With its beautiful setting, a great venue and, most importantly, easy access to some fantastic mountain roads, Townsend and the Highland Manor Inn are a tough combination to beat. With plenty of room for not only our 914s but also truck and trailer rigs, a car show field, and gathering space both indoors and out, the Highland Manor Inn (with its Boxster-driving owner) has become our 914 base in the Smokies.

What better way to spend a long weekend in the fall than with other 914 enthusiasts for a weekend of driving, showing and socializing! So finish up that project, dust off the garage queen, trailer that race car or hop in your daily driver and head to the mountains of East Tennessee for a weekend you will not soon forget.

What’s that? Your 914 isn’t running or is in pieces scattered across the garage, basement, storage unit, extra bedroom…

No worries! If it is close to done and you can trailer it, use the combined knowledge of fellow 914ers to help get it running and on the road. And if your 914 still can’t make it, drive whatever will get you here – be that another Porsche or anything else – and quiz the gurus on how to best get your project back together in time for next year’s event!

MSDS 1.7/ and 2.0 L high flow mandrel formed intake tubes for ten lucky door prize attendees. These are DIY kits and requires the 3" dia cone air filter...but the main part of the system is this tube

I regret that this will be the first time I've missed the Okteenerfest event, my T shirt collection will not be complete unless I can buy one from Steve to keep the collection complete! My PCA club is hosting a huge Porsche 356 event in Lexington at the same time, and I'm the club and event photographer.

Betty and I are signed up. But my car is still staying home,and we will be bringing the blue six. A new job and a BMW with a broken timing chain have taken up all my time.



It ate 32 valves when the chain broke.

And I am finding lots of little things that I need to fix while I am in there.

Were we supposed to get a preferred rate at the hotel. I just booked and the rate for a double queen with balcony was $154, which is $8 higher than the adjacent weeks.

Seems odd.

It's unlikely I'll make it this year. My car had a trainwreck of an engine build. Hasn't run since May last year.

Got to see it today, over a year since after dropping it off at a shop to straighten it out. I don't think it'll be finished until sometime in '27.

Steve, I really hate that I will miss my first Okteenerfest this year, have a conflict with another car event that I will be photographing. My T shirt collection will now not be complete, and this is another collectable beauty!

This is Al Meredith's son.

For the first time in I do not know how many years my dad will not be making it this year. He had back surgery a week ago and is still in the hospital. Looks like he might be there for another week or so. Hope you guys have a good time. Looks like someone else gets to be the oldest one there. Hopefully he can return next year.
