Ok ok you all talked me into it. I plan to powder paint them again provided I can still get decent pricing. With that said let’s pretend they are just bare aluminum with all the hardware to install onto the seat (not the fire extinguisher of your choice) . There are a few holes pre drilled for some but not all fire extinguishers and their mount systems.
What I also plan to do is do this off my website vs pms which was a major PIA last time. Price point will be 40 without powder paint and if I can get them powdered then I will add $4 for that so expect to ship these out the door total price shipped for $50. Here is the link NOT discounted yet or showing stock. Expect this to take 8 weeks as I just put the order in for laser today.
I ask that you post your interest and amount of them you would like so I can shop powder options. https://914-6werkshop.com/product/fire-extinguisher-mount/

I have these mounts in both of my cars and they are fantastic. I have 5lb Purple K FE's on them and they are easy to access and do not get in the way of a passenger. This is a nice solution to having a FE that you can quickly and easily grab that is not in the way. I doubt Ben is making much (if any) profit on these and I appreciate him making them available.

This is still just for "movable passenger seats"? I'm guessing there isn't anything to bolt to without the track for the early cars with fixed passenger seats?

My mounts don’t bolt to the rails it sandwiched the fiberglass seat frame. Unfortunately I don’t have a fixed seat car to experiment with

When I put this in I was worried that it would be in the way of any passenger's legs, but it really isn't. Mounts to the seat itself. I put fabric tape over the bolt heads. 5lb fire extinguisher fits easily.

@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=22920 Question: your extinguisher looks offset to the right(not centered between the bottom side bolsters), or are my eyes worse than I thought.
On Ben's website photo it seems to be centered.

@http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showuser=24202 Your eyes are fine. It is off center, on purpose. Made more sense to me for it to be where it is. In that position the seat adjuster is accessible for the passenger without the FE being in the way. If you turned the FE the other way you might have it more centered but when you reach for it, unless you have the worlds biggest hands, you want the top of the FE to be closer to you. You can play around to get it more centered but that wasn't my priority. The mount has pre-drilled holes but you can drill new holes in it or you can drill holes in the FE holder.

It just doesn’t make financial sense to even go into the 70-71 market. Most have been converted and to make $10 a mount is about the equivalent of to a Led Zeppelin from a business standpoint.

The bolt holes on the rail that the fixed seat bucket bolts to, are centered on the hinges
I put in for a adjustable pass seat. So those holes, if I understand how your bracket works, may just need a couple holes drilled in your bracket, then sandwiched between the seat bucket and the rail. If you want to pm me a couple measurements I'll check. Or maybe a fixed seat owner will understand what I am saying and will try for themselves. The sliders are centered to the hinge and I think I read that your bracket is pinched between the sliders and the seat. Now all I need it your credit card number. (lol)

Ok for what ever reason people don’t understand how these mount. There are existing holes in the fiberglass seat shell (not the rails) the mount goes on the bottom of the seat shell then the upper rectangular aluminum washer sits on the top side of the fiberglass shell and then 2 8mm bolts fit through sandwich every thing together

Tried to order on the website and each time I try to click the PayPal link it keeps telling me I need to input my State. There is no box to put the State. I put in in the City/Town option in addition to my town and still nothing. It won't let me move forward to use another form of payment either since PayPal doesn't seem to be like the inputs??

Thank you. I suspect that once we get them and start installing them, others will join in and place any outstanding orders from their previous commitments.
If we end up with extras, I may have to order a second one to try and retrofit one into my C2. Having these $500.00 fire extinguishers rolling around behind seats/floorboards seems kind of silly when for 10% of that you can have a quality mount in your car.

Here's my "no drill" mount. Not quite as handy as the OP model but holds the bottle secure in one place. Fashioned from T6 aluminum. [attachmentid=977058]
Well that’s in the trunk which is not real handy and having come up with a semi mass produced part that makes me almost zero profit and can honestly say I am not sure the benefit of the post for either of us.

Anyone else needing 1 or 2 of these? I will put them back on sale for this group if I can get 8 or so folks interested

Ben, I'll take one. I also need a GT style oil cover for drv footwell if you have any of those.

I don’t at the moment have covers. The mounts are on my website on sale. I can make some covers though

I’m interested in one. I don’t need it powered coated and, if possible, I would like it without any drilled holes or hardware on the extinguisher mounting plate. I’ve ordered several Elements 50 fire extinguishes and I have also ordered the Rennline Element billet mounting brackets (https://www.rennline.com/rennline-element-extinguisher-billet-mounting-clip-sku-fe25/?srsltid=AfmBOorAtMnOVV_goMeo5QfSfFjIXjsAOkks0Vcl5ZpkSlF4nIl62QPj). I may need to modify the size of your mount for the small size of the Element fire extinguishers. Also, the Rennline mounting clips will require different size holes along with different hole locations. I’ll get the mount powder coated locally (along with many other parts that will need it during my restoration project). I’ll post photos of the finished product when I get it completed.

They are all drilled and powder coated already. The hardware included is to mount the mount to the seat. I hope that helps.
