I finally decided to bring one home. 1973 2.0 built to a 2.4. Original color is Delphi Green Metallic

Thanks everyone! It's a blessing for sure. The previous owner had it for 38 years and he took great care of it. I still have to do some sorting with the carbs (Weber 48s) and also replace some fuel lines.
I will try to post the engine build sheet tonight.
I absolutely love this thing. It's much better than the kind of car I expected to end up with. It was outside my original budget, but worth every penny.
It also came with a treasure trove of parts.

Thank you! Yes, there is an oil cooler mounted directly beneath the grille. I haven't driven it yet. Still have to do some sorting

Thank you! Yes, there is still some Delphi in the cabin and the trunks. The repaint was mostly exterior and engine bay

The rear lid spoiler is from Sheridan - I have one in storage. Not sure if 914rubber is making those now.

Thanks everyone! Man, I love this community. I've been working tirelessly on this thing, night and day. She runs great. I've been doing some local shakedown runs. This thing pulls like a rocket ship. It's easy to see why these cars have such a following. Bruce rebuilt the pedal cluster. (His work is phenomenal, by the way.) I also replaced all of the fuel lines with one of the kits from Tangerine Racing. Chris Foley is awesome. He's super helpful. I would be adding many more photos, but the board keeps giving me a message stating the files are too large. Does anyone know of a way around this?

I took my brother out to lunch yesterday afternoon. It was a nice drive through the Hualapai mountains. It's an awesome drive.

I also replaced all of the shift bushings last Thursday. It shifts like a brand new 53-year-old car now.

Phone cameras take very large pictures which doesn't work well with posting images on this site. You need to reduce the size. I typically do this by resizing images like to 800x600, for example. If you have to use a phone, take a screen shot of the image, trim if needed, and post that. Good luck and sweet ride!

I email them from my phone to my desktop, I think I can send 10 pics. Just
before it sends the email it asks me what size. If it is more than one image I go with medium and can put a bunch.

I've never driven anything like this. I can't explain it. It's almost a daily driver at this point. The steering is perfect. Direct, very sensitive, and no pulling to one side. A lot of people don't even have a clue what it is. "Ohh, that's a cute car!" "Do the lights come up like a Fiero's?" "What is it?" Those are some of the things I've heard this week. It feels weird all the attention the car gets. I'm not used to it. And then non-car-people don't see anything in it. Just another car with some silly numbers and a loud engine. Nothing special. Which I don't understand. Me being me, I would probably walk a mile in the Arizona heat just to see another 914 and connect with its owner.
