I wanted to get the front struts powdercoated, are the cartridges removable? or do you replace the whole strut when its time to replace the shocks?

There is a roll pin at the very bottom, drive it out and insert will come out. When you reinstall, the orientation is critical or the roll pin can break, split away from the insert IIRC, but check that.
