Sheez!
Let the kid play with carb cleaner next time.
Paul
Or the oven cleaner... There's a post on the 911 PP board from some guy who walked into his garage to a "hissing" sound.
Discovered that a can of "oven cleaner" high on his garage shelf had corroded and sprung a small leak... spraying a fine mist of corrosive oven cleaner all over the hood and interior of his car.
Oh what a joy!
And why the heck was he storing oven cleaner in the garage!
Oh, here it is...

those wine and cheese'rs get all butt hurt over a little bit of sarchasm.
LOL
I was needlessly rude!!!!
I just said give it a wash and wax LOL
AA sells WD 40 remover. $18.95 plus S&H
It's really to bad all of the bad information that has been given out on the WD 40 removal. The only way that it can be done properly is remove the paint down to the bare metal and repaint. Keep that stuff away from your car if you know whats good for you.

I got some WD-40 on my car once and I had to take a belt sander with 36 grit paper to get it off.
What a PITA.
Paul
I'd use a match...
lol- too freakin funny. read thru the whole thread on PP. you guys are too much
TimT,
You were WAAAAAAY outta line
We should kick you off this BBS, before you start to display that kind of behaviour here too

(almost ashamed to own a 911)
First off....it should be WHINE and Cheese......
The tail draggers need to learn to have a sense of humor.....
Damn,
that thread got some panties bunched!!
Unbelievable...
He should be glad the kid didn't find the can with brake fluid. Or ingested the stuff. IMPO the moral of this story is: keep your kids from (potentially) dangerous fluids!
You guys "waxed" him all right; after two responses the line went dead.
Hey Mike,
Remove the paint to bare metal? What's really inside the WD-40? petroleum basis stuff? I'm a bit surprised at the idea of having to remove the paint .
Fill me in!
jerry
Mikey's response was the funniest line I have seen in weeks.
Richard
I few years ago I used to hang out at the 993 board on rennlist, you talk about funny!!
I got some Windex on the chrome trim around my windshield. Am I screwed or is there any hope of salvaging the car?
----see post about tire cleaner---
Let's see:
Thin skinned French men?
Couldn't ya just put a decal over the damaged area?
Or is would the paint molecules on the fender be so badly damaged
that it would just slide right off and stick to yer shoes?
I'm suprised there was anything left to talk about.
