I saw a web site some time ago that had engine and chassis serial numbers for various Porsche models. Does anyone know of this site, and if so, could you please pass along the link?

Anderson's book has the 911 and some 914 stuff....this site has the type IV stuff....what ya need?

I have the engine serial number from my car and I wanted to look it up to see exactly what the stock configuration was.

it doesn't cover the full 40 production years of 911 engines...

Bob -- with the serial number, you have to do a bunch of decoding and backwork, and inference.

if you have the Type number (e.g. 911/xx) you can look it up in a flash - there's a full index of engine specifications sorted by Type number in Anderson.
