The interior is slowly turning red. Thank you Mike Now I need to pull the windshield to get at the vinyl in front of the dash pad. Next I am installing FAT MAT for sound insulation. Still looking at steering wheel options.

Damn Craig! That looks much better than I thought it would.
Problem solved. You can remove it after Kevin drives the car to Florida.

Only one problem... when he gets there, the steering wheel cover will stick to his hands... ripping the fur off in clumps... thus destroying that extra special show-quality look!
Oh yeah, ok, removable is gud.
Black with Red interior looks great I bet Silver with Red interior would look good too.
i was thinking about silver and that really pretty audi blue
Craig that looks great. I had a red 914 with a matching red interior loooong ago. Steering wheel was a Fitti Personal wheel with red leather
Travis, Red with red interior, how did that look? Any pics.?
CCLINREDRED
Craig,
Really like the subtle details of the ashtray and interior light delete. That's a rich looking red, too. Reminds me of the interior treatments of some of the sports cars of the 50s & 60s, especially with the Nardi style steering wheel.
Excellent. . . .

Hi Craig
Thumbs up dude ! I love taking chances with color.
That looks really, really good.
later
what's the story with that malaga red car in the background of one of the pictures?
k
Travis, Any history on the car. Were the interior colors a factory change or dealer or owner change?
Kevin it is a 76 20 with a rebuilt motor and trans 10k ago. Hydraulic lifters, Calif car, very clean with rust on battery tray only. $4500.
CCLINCAMPERSALE
that looks great!
are you going with black or red carpet?
Wonder how red fuchs would look on that car
Ferg
Fantastic. About time you got busy on it. I vote black carpet.
Looks like the roadster has been improved as well.
Craig - That's a root six right? Sure is a beautiful car. Speaking of root six's, when are you going to get some more pictures of the root rod?
Eric
Craigit was definately the PO's efforts to change the interior color color
well, it certainly is a piss poor photo. malaga that is. the black car is looking fine. are you doing the forward dash cover in matching red?
k
WOW! Stunning Craig... very stunning.
Call that car the "Black Widow" the license plate could be
BLKWDO

Forert Gump gives it 3 thumbs up.
WoW I didn’t know Red could look so good.
Great job, Hummmmm I have a black teener, that needs an interior
Awesome interior Craig !!!
What size tires are running on those deep sixes? They look great all polished!
-Justin
Craig,
Great looking interior. Very good selection Black & Red. I really like it.
Tom
Craig,
Forgot to mention. What do you think about doing the metal housing around the gauges in a wood grain?? You know like the old FORDS in the 40's.
I have a spare gauge housing you can have if interested. In fact I was thinking about playing around with a painted wood grain color application on my spare one. Easy to put in and take out for a custom look. If interested I have a procedure somewhere in my archives. First you paint a base color then wipe with ink for the wood grain look. After that a clear coat then rub out for the final finish. Just another painted surface, Fax Wood.
Tom
Thank you one and all, you too Kevin. I am not sure on the dash insert. I will delete the radio and glove box openings. Nothing dates a car like a radio. Hide them and use a remote pad. I am doing the area between the windshield and dashpad in red vinyl, so the windshield will be removed.
I ma not sure on the tire size on the deep sixes, I will check.
I have been leaning towards a MBZ square weave in red for the carpet.
Tom thank you for the panel offer, but I am probably going to cover the gauge panel in red vinyl and install brushed aluminum trim rings.
I was thinking of putting on red powdercoated 911 steel wheels and WWW, with Porsche center hubcaps.
CCLINRETROROD
Who did the vinyl work? It looks sharp!!
Mike D.
All of the interior pieces were sent to Dr Evil and he worked his south of the border magic on them.
