914World.com _ 914World Garage _ OT: What I did on Sunday!

Posted by: Bruce Allert Aug 4 2003, 11:29 AM

After NOT being able to go to Jamies 914 meet on Saturday I & my wife treated ourselves to accompany Monique to the Wild Cat Haven in Sherwood, Oregon on Sunday. They needed some new pics of their cat rescue-ees so I induldged in playing with the "Big Cats." Monique used to train the tigers for Sigfried & Roy so we felt very safe.
They have everything from Bob cats to Cougars. 37 cats in all. Most of my pics are going for the fund raiser that will be going on next month. Sure was fun being able to pet these critters.
Anyone interested in helping these guys out can make a donation to www.wildcathaven.org

You could smell cat but with the numerous times the cages are cleaned and the fresh hay that is put down for bedding it was very minimal. Keep in mind, this place is run by only 2 people, a husband & wife team. I was told all but 17 fence posts were dug by hand and there must be hundreds. The hill side does not allow a tractor with a digger to be used.....

Ok, where are the 'when animals at a non-profit attack' pictures?

I want to see blood! Doesn't have to be a friend, I am not a sicko.
