Hi guys,
last night I finished replacing my speedo angle drive seal...no more seeping from the tranny...and changed the oil and filter...this morning my wife told me about a car show in a nearby town...I washed my car, wiped the interior and entered the show.
I ended up taking first place in the specialty category...here are some pics from the event
I have a Phoenix Red 73 2.0 with 15,100 documented miles and original paint. I recently dropped the motor to tune it up...this winter I am going to work on the cosmetics.
here are some pics

Nice pics; congratulations ! How long have you owned it ? Was it orig sold in NY ?
I have owned the car since last may...I found it in our classified section, and bought it from Houston...many people from the club had helped me along the way, as well as a PPI. The car originally had 13,800 miles...since I have owned it...I dropped the motor to replace the fuel lines, vacuum lines, injector seals, pushrod tube seals, shifter seals, oil cooler seals, cap rotor condensor...and much more...I have received a lot of info from members from this site...I appreciate everyones help.

Wow, that's pretty cool.
Nice pics. Congrats.
Beautiful ride!
Congratulations and VERY nice car...and beat out a Ferrari to boot!
Looked like a beautiful day as well.
thanks for the kind words, it was nice to beat the ferrari after the guy finished telling me about his list of cars which included another ferrari. I was surprised to win...I had the motor on jackstands for 2 months, detailing and tuning it up...the hard work paid off...I want to work on the cosmetics this winter, as well as rebuild the pedal cluster.
thanks again
Joe
Nice ride, one day, several thousand dollars from now, my paint will look just like that.
Yes, please work on the cosmetics of that ugly ugly car
Seriously, what does it need? (because the pictures look beautifullicious)
the car spent its life in a hot garage in Houston since 73, the dashpad is cracked (one crack, which is unfortunate) and one of the seats has a one inch tear in it...I am going to have both seats recovered with original material, and I am going to bite the bullet and buy a new dashpad. It is going to be a winter project...I will keep it as stock as possible. The paint is also original, and has a few dings, I am planning on having the paintless dent repair done, touching up the chips and wet sanding them...I will also replace some of the weather stripping...the pieces that are not in great shape. I have been driving the car as much as possible, and am really enjoying it.
