please let me know................. biggrin.gif

I can't take specific orders, but i need to get a feel for the general consensus. cool_shades.gif

i think the plan was to provide food for all of the adults, but children were going to have to fend for themselves. biggrin.gif this is mostly b/c almost all of the registration fee is paying for the cost of food. i can order an extra meal in there (i am sure your kids can split it) just pay me the difference.

i guess box lunch day is the only day this is a problem for the non registered people, since all of the other meals will take place in restaurants. anyone else need an extra meal for your kids?

BTW, i am bringing my 2 year old daughter as well. hope they can be friends. rolleyes.gif

anyone OPPOSED to hummus? It sounded like a pretty good item on the menu and the owner was planning on giving us a half and half box.

I'm bringing my heavily modified 914. smash.gif welder.gif

This is the one with the MB 3.2 engine moved to the front and the MB all wheel drive suspension added. I even added an ultra-trick MB E320 Wagon body to it. We should have the interior finished just in time for the trip, 3rd seat and all... yup, putting in the MB interior while we're at it! Wait til you see it... all you Suby, Cheby and 928 conversion homos will be AMAZED, you got nuthin on me! ohmy.gif

(There is a point here... follow along)

Do you need anyone to haul all that chow to the picnic grounds? Big coolers for aqua? We should plan on having lots of water for the hike.

Hummus is just a bunch of ground up chick peas. $0.66 per can. Tell the cheap bastard to serve up some real chow! chowtime.gif

Greg,

I mentioned Eric's kids and meal about a week ago on the planning thread.

We need to get them something and Eric is open about it.

personally I'm not a hummus fan
but what ever the group does is fine.

I get most of the protein in my diet from eating dead animal flesh. If lunch is served after the hike in Arches National Park, I might be hungry enough to eat hummus. I'll bring a bag of chips as a back up, just in case.

Seriously... it sounds like he's trying to cut his costs. Is he giving you a discount? You can buy hummus (chick peas) for pennies at a restaurant supply. They're an excellent form of protein for the veggie side but can be rather bland if not done properly. Makes a good appetizer dip though... spread it on crackers, not sandwiches.

See if he was "planning on" giving you 1/2 off wink.gif

Hummus = That's why I'm not going. wink.gif

Should I bring guit-tars?

Posted by: jsteele22 Sep 19 2005, 05:29 PM

Hummus ? Well, it depends..... you do mean certified organic, hand-ground kosher hummus, don't you ? No ? Hell, I'll eat anything. Long as its dead or oysters.

Friday AM. What time are you leaving? I'm planning on 7:00 AM I could be coaxed either way.

Posted by: StratPlayer Sep 19 2005, 07:11 PM

My wife wants to leave at 8AM, so that is the time we set to leave Salt Lake.

Posted by: TROJANMAN Sep 19 2005, 10:15 PM

so the place the lunch is coming from is one of those specialty wrap places, and hummus is one of there more popular wraps. she said they usually put a half hummus and a half meat wrap together so the vegeterians in the group could swap out and everyone gets a little of something. personally i don't care, but i will only order a few of the hummus things. cost is the same for meat or chick peas.

see you guys on friday............................ beer.gif
