Would a frozen Dellorto carburetor be repairable at home, or is this a job that would need to be farmed out to someone to have it done correctly?

Have not had much experience with carbs in general, so am not familiar with the problem.

are you giving up on Djet?

you can rebuild carbs at home, but frozen could be another matter.

If their frozen because they are rusty.... then I'm not sure that is worth fixing. you would have to clean all the rust and replace all of the shafts... possibly even re-bush.

not something that is cost effective.

Using a bucket, soak*** them in WD40 or your favorite brand of rust buster for about 4 -5 days and see if the butterflys free up. Heat is not a good thing but can be used.

Rebushing the throttle shafts is a real possibility and should be done by a KNOWLEDGABLE machine shop.

***make sure the throttle shafts/butterflys are submerged
