Posted by: banksyinoz Oct 28 2005, 07:16 PM

i love the shirts smilie_pokal.gif

i would like to know if there are any people that would object to me using that logo and putting it on a shirt over here in australia, it will be for personal use only as i have weighed up the cost of shipping etc and by the time i do the exchange rate the shirt would be rather pricey

if there is any objections please post
beerchug.gif

Posted by: seanery Oct 28 2005, 07:50 PM

I send hats and whatnot all the time to Australia...it's really not that expensive.
I expect that shipping for 1 or 2 shirts would be in the $11-12 range, so, all-in-all not a bad deal.

Posted by: seanery Nov 14 2005, 07:32 AM

*UPDATE*

Sorry, I haven't posted here lately. I anticipated the shirts arriving 2 weeks ago, but obviously they haven't. My printer has had a couple of issues that have delayed their arrival. I've been trying to light a fire under them. The first delay was the blank shirts - they were back ordered in 2 sizes that we are using. The second delay is now because the proof they sent me twice looks like crap. I don't want to rush them through to get the shirts here, I'd prefer for them to be correct.

As soon as I know more I'll post it here. Thanks for your patience!

***NO MORE ORDERS AT THIS TIME***

I'm putting orders on hold until the shirts arrive. I ordered specific quantities of each size, and I'd hate to run out of a size after I took someone's money. Keep your eyes open, and once the shirts arrive, I'll make a list of the sizes available and sell the remaining shirts.

Thanks!

As an FYI, here are a couple of the shirts...I can't believe this has taken so long. Thanks to everyone for your understanding. It's been almost a month and I'm finally getting a resolve from the printer - a refund...but I've gotta find a new one.

Some of the shirts are horrible, some are not so good. I could have sent out some of the not so good ones, and folks may not have noticed, but I didn't want to do that. It's not fair to the buyers and sponsors.

The black ghosting is usually because of ink build up on the back of screen (double print). A quick wipe with solvents every few prints takes care of that.

How they were able to streach the straight line on the top of the print out of wack is really a mystery. The screen would have to be made that way on purpose. The only thing I can think is when they made the positive they streached it out of shape when they put it on the screen and then made the other two screens to fit the first.

Isn't there someone local who can do this? Would save you a bunch of time getting it proofed.

You might try and handle it through the Better Business Bureau. I've gotten money back from bad vendors this way.

I hate to be the voice of reason, but what does "IF" mean?

There are a bunch of members here who paid for T shirts. Yeah, you got screwed by a vendor, and a few members stepped up and said you could keep the money, but they dont speak for all of us.

I wont bitch about the time it takes, because I know there are delays, but I do expect a shirt eventually.

Posted by: seanery Feb 22 2006, 03:57 PM

That was a rude post there matt-you sure as hell are making some assumptions there buddy.

I never said you wouldn't get your shirt. There is no IF about that. I apologize for the delay. They won't give the money back, so I've got to come up with alternate ways to get that money. At this point I'm absolutely broke. I have no money. They will do the shirts, but not the way I want them, so I won't let them do it. So, I have to come up with a solution. I'm out a shitpot load more money than you are, so no one wants this resolved more than me. The IF is in a plan to get the $$ back.

Posted by: McMark Feb 22 2006, 04:07 PM

If he's gonna bitch, send Matt the least F-d up one from the last batch and take his name off the list. dry.gif

Come on now, everyone knows Sean has done a excellent job with the hats and other items for the club. he was never asked to this he did it because he wanted to.

Sean is stuck between a vendor that for some reason has started doing poor quality work and a bunch of us 914 yahoo's that want shirts. Sean has been very upfront about this whole situation and it will get resolved, to bad it has turned in to a big PITA for him.

Posted by: seanery Feb 22 2006, 04:31 PM

Actually, Garold's cousin's nephew is gonna do the shirts once I can get the cash back.

Posted by: brant Feb 22 2006, 05:20 PM

seriously...

I think we should start a list or PM or something so that Sean knows that those of us that are willing to let him keep our money can be crossed from the list.

I know its not everyone

but I see this as another opportunity to help a friend who is getting a bumm rap....

I'm happy to forfeit my shirt for sean's sake.
just like the non-club came together for twist'd s tools, or mueller, or brad, or korijo...

this is one the things I like about this place that we help each other out....

If people still want a shirt from this thread thats their right... but I think a lot of people would gladdly give up their shirt money to save sean from extra stress...

Posted by: MattR Feb 22 2006, 05:48 PM

Sean,

Your post wasnt very clear. I read from 3 members they were offering for you to keep the money. I just wanted to make sure the same offer wasnt assumed to members that paid. I'm not putting a time pressure on this because there were no promises made, but I want to make sure I'm not forgotten (along with all the other paying members).

There is some history with using the 914club name. I know my WCC 05 shirt doesnt say 914club on it.

Haven't heard anything since March 10th, what is the latest??????

Posted by: seanery Apr 3 2006, 08:55 AM

The latest is....no refund from the printer. They also will not print them the way I want. They will, however, print a different shirt. I have ordered a shirt #2. These will be in my hands in the next week or two. I'll post details when I get them. I'll use the proceeds from shirt #2 to get the original shirt that was ordered printed from a different vendor.

Once again, I apologize for the very, very long delay in receiving these shirts...especially to the vendors/sponsors who so generously funded a large portion of the shirts to keep the price at a low price of $10. I hope to get the original shirts to you all by mid may.

Posted by: Michael Oberg Apr 3 2006, 09:07 AM

Is it too late to add another XL? And what is shirt #2? biggrin.gif

If so, please PM me the email address you want the PayPal sent to, I don't see it in the posting...

Thanks, the shirts look great!

I have closed all orders for this shirt until I get them.

Shirt #2 hasn't been displayed. When I receive them, I'll post order info.

Sean has done a ton to bring us shirts and hats. I paid to have my name on these shirts and I'm not sweating it. Sean is not a professional clothing manufacturer, he's just a member trying to help us out. If he drug his feet or squandered our money I would be pissed, but he bought and paid for shirts that ended up being CRAP. And then the company screwed him. If anything we should be organizing a phone campaign against the printing company for screwing us all. Sean is doing everything he can to make it right, aside from EATING the cost of the crappy shirts, which I would never support.

Posted by: Qarl May 19 2006, 02:44 PM

Personally, I'm not worried about Seanery and my $20.00.

So far, everything Seanery has produced has been top notch and I know he's just trying to make sure everything is right.

Heck... I'm sure a lot of us will take the crappy printed shirt. All of my other 914 shirts are worn out or stained!

Seanery... as always... thanks for all that you do to produce cool 914 goodies. Sorry this has become such a stromberg.gif for you.

Posted by: skline May 19 2006, 03:44 PM

I think I paid for at least 3 of them and had forgotten for the most part till someone just emailed me about selling some to him. Not sure why he would think I was the one selling them. I would like to get my shirts though someday, soon would be better but I am not in a big hurry.

Sean, Whassup man??

I just checked, I ordered 5 of them, let us know what is going on.

Posted by: mike914duck May 22 2006, 12:40 AM

mike landry (mike914duck)

Posted by: db9146 May 22 2006, 01:31 PM

I like McMark's idea. Let's launch an email and phone campaign against the non-compliant shirt printer to make him be more "compliant".

Posted by: siverson May 26 2006, 04:09 PM

I don't see how printing T-shirts could ever take 7+ months, regardless of the circumstances. If the printer screwed up 5 times, or whatever the reasons are, and Sean can't afford to try again and has already lost too much time and money on this, then he should just say so and then we can all move on and Sean can stop worrying about this.

I'm not worried about my $10, but I honestly think this thread (and group purchase) should have died long ago, one way or another.
