Hi everybody.
Anyone knows the measurements of the bump steer kit? Washer size, screw length?
O.K. turned out one screw that hold the steering on the rack. it is a M10 20mm Screw. So if i want to use 10mm Shims under the Steering i have to use 30mm Screws.
But.... can i use 10mm shims? There is no much room above the steering, maybe 5-8mm i guess.
Has nobody the measurements of that (weltmeister) bump steer kit?
Good question, i didn't think to measure them before installation.
Can't be much grater than 10mm. I can't see any harm in installing 10mm spacers using the longer bolts & seeing how the tie rods settle after its all back together on the ground.
Ideally you want the rods horizontal or pointing down towards the outside. But you already knew that

i'm not sure, but 10mm sounds too much. i can't get to my car right now (it's at the shop) to measure for you ... sorry, not much help here, ![]() |
I seem to recall reading/hearing somewhere that the "bump steer kits" were a bit too much unless your car is REALLY low.
I just bought a set from Pelican Parts & my car is really LOW!!!!!! I can spec. it for you but then I would have kill you! 2 & 1/4 & 2 Inch! sorry my son took my MM tape. spacers are 2 1/4 of an inch.
