I have 2 different ones on my car and I am wondering if one is better than the other.

they look the same.....

but i also only have a 15 inch widescreen, so i couldnt see the whole picture

IMHO any boot that holds the grease in and keeps the crap out that isn't a royal PITA to install is just fine.

two styles of attaching the boot to the ring. Older style is that with the external clamp. beware however if someone usies a repair rubber boot on the old style metal ring, and in doing so uses a regular hose clamp which may:

1. back off in thightness.
2. if too wide or screw hangs out, may rub and wear away rubber on boot.

Other than that, either are fine to use. I always use new boots when rebuilding CV's even if the old one looks "good" cause the rubber will eventually fail, and that really is what dictate the time to rebuild the CV the next time. i don't want premature boot failure to force an early CV rebuild.
