it's day has been coming for awhile.....

its here now...my red (valet) key broke [i think the main one is black rubberized plastic] and i have it zip-tied together and what-not....

a while back, i fought some guy on ebay for some lock timbler pins so i can key everything to my door key....(PO)

anyway, does anybody have tumbler pins...?

some misunderstanding on my part.

is the key broken off inside the cylinder?

if you need a new valet key, just have your black key copied on a red key (or vice versa) the ridges on the keys are the same, the blanks are different so they work different locks on the same car.

and your local locksmith doesn't have the standard cylinder pins?? They should be able to do this in their sleep.

i never did have the black key

it didnt break off in the ignition.....

i'm not quite sure what i'm actually trying to achieve....

Britt,
I know you are a poor young kid ( no offense intended, I remember being the same way), but a locksmith can rekey all the locks in your car and make you a brand new pair of keys.

I had mine done by a local locksmith for less than 100.00.

They even made a "template" key. It's a key that is only cut on one side. It can't be used in the locks, so it never wears out. That means that the pattern will always be sharp when it's used to cut new keys.

Also I am kinda anal about the keys for my car. I bought the blanks from Porsche and had them cut by the local locksmith.
