So, I have had a fuel pump go out, I got a used one from Premier Auto sales. About a week later it went out, and Dave offered to replace it even thorugh they don't warrantee used parts. Great service, nice guys

So I pulled the pump and just checked it on battery, ran fine dry.gif

Little testing and I have power but pump won't run dry.gif sad.gif mad.gif

I called Brad Mayeur 914ltd and he says "ground wire! check the ground" huh.gif

Checked power with ohm meter to chassie and have power, check between power and ground wire and headbang.gif headbang.gif headbang.gif

Run new ground mueba.gif driving.gif wub.gif

So thanks to premier for going past my expecations, I'll send the second pump back and pay your postage.

And thanks again to Brad who (again) trouble shot my car over the phone (in about 15 seconds biggrin.gif )

I vouch for both these businesses. smilie_pokal.gif smilie_pokal.gif

Never delt with Premier (yet) but that is good service. And of course Brad Mayeur, I can't tell you how many times I called for help on a problem that I have spent hours, sometimes days try to fix only have him tell me what was wrong in about 15 sec. dry.gif Kudos to them both smilie_pokal.gif

So does this mean your going to come and play tomorrow? AX at Merrillville High School driving.gif

Brad is indeed a great person. Only spoke with him on the phone, but he is one of the true "Go To" people in the 914 world. Next time I visit Illinois, I will make a trip to meet him in person. My Parents are in Mt. Vernon, my home town.

I was over at Brad's all day on Friday working on my 914 (carb problems). He and Michael are great to work with.
