914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Pin Clips for ebrake cables...?

Posted by: fiid Oct 17 2005, 04:31 PM

Hey,

I'm missing one of those little clips that keeps the pin that goes through the ebrake cables from dropping out. Where would one get a replacement...?

TIA,

Fiid.

it's N.012.645.2 if you decide try at a dealer or Pelican or such.

but i just drill the pin 1/16" and run a loop of safety wire through it (my cars are drivers, not concours contenders, and i always know where the spool of safety wire is...). you could also use a cotter pin.

the factory clip is probabky really quick on the assembly line tho.

I'm trying to keep the car original.

Not really - thanks for the tip - I can't believe I didn't think of drilling it... DOH!

there isn't much space to drill there. you'll have a hard time fitting a cotter pin unless it is truly tiny and you are very accurate with the drill bit!
