914World.com _ 914World Garage _ Bosch Round Relays???

Posted by: Kerrys914 Aug 12 2003, 07:20 AM

Hey guys..I need some of the old school round relays.. To my suprise they are listed at $19 EACH.. ohmy.gif ohmy.gif ohmy.gif icon8.gif

IS this what everyone has been paying for new relays??? WOW ohmy.gif

Has anyone found a place to get new relays for less then $19? How about converting from the round type to the newer $2.00 relay.?

Thanks
Kerry

I don't think that you will find them anywhere for less than $19.

Not to sound too cheap smile.gif

Can they be repaired/reconditioned? I have about 6 or so relays that don't seem to want to work.

I am putting 12V across 85 and 86 (solenoid contacts) to test the relay. If I get a solid "click" the relay solenoid is good.

I would like to have 2-3 relays as spares.

Thanks
Kerry

I picked up a couple used from Rich Bontempi at HPH.
Much cheaper, but not new.

I got a relay board off e-bay 'cuz I wanted the cover which came with it. I got the cover and the board for $25, and when I got it, it had a voltage regulator and 2 relays on it! aktion035.gif

Hey Curvie,

Want to sell the board? Is it any good? I have diagnosed my FI and fuel pump promblems down to a bad board so far. Let me know

Thanks

I don't know if it's any good. I bought it for the cover. What 's a board worth that is untested? blink.gif
