Just take off your old brackets and install these. They will fit perfectly with no fiddling. The bushings are press fit into the Powdercoated carriers and then reamed to the a-arm diameter.
Poly bushings are more brittle and don't provide as good natural lubrication. It's hard to make them fit. They are often loose in the carrier, but if they fit tightly the ID won't be right since the carriers aren't really round or of a consistent ID. The poly material doesn't tool well so improving the fit is a challenge and a proper reamer of this diameter is too expensive for most folks to do this for themselves just once.
