So today I fixed my shifting problem. Turned out the clutch tube came loose. I cut a small piece of the tunnel out for an access port. The tube is now held against the wall of the tunnel by a block of aluminum with a half-circle filed out of it which is then bolted to the wall.

Also put in a new small steering wheel and adjusted the headlights.

It was such a nice day that I decided to go for a short drive. By the time I left the sun was just setting. I drove from Redondo Beach to just a bit north of San Pedro, past Palos Verdes, etc.
