Posted by: michaelmoo Nov 18 2005, 09:55 AM

What are the significant 914 racing victories while the car was new? I know the following:

Brumos 914-6GT IMSA champion, 1971
Sunauto 914-6GT Le Mans GT class win, 1970
EFR SCCA national champion, 1972 year?
Factory 914-6GT 86 hour Nurburgring winner, 1970 (also finished 2nd and 3rd)

Any others?

This might sound like a stupid question but what kind of cars were the GT's main competition?

Not too shaby I guess, a 30 year history of championship wins. Although lately, the only place where the car is competitively classed is in F-Prepared I think...
