my old original exhaust had to many holes. a friend gave me a 1.8 exhaust for my 2.0 76. Some one told me That i was losing hp?

is the 1.8 set up early style or late style.

Anything is better than the later style as it robs 7hp.

Best HE's is the SSI 2.0L setup drooley.gif

I just had a post about this. The Stainless heat exchangers and a new exhaust (Bursch) were the reccomended way to go to bring a 75/76 car back into the power.

The stock exchangers and exhaust were power suckers in the name of smog laws for the 75/76 cars.

Are in Oakly?

I'm in Antioch off of Hillcrest....there are a few 914s in our area....

for the '76 you still need to get the car smogged, but you might be able to get away with the better '74 and earlier exhaust as long as you still have a cat. converter
