I just got my 914 no keys car has been in storage since 1985. I've done the search and it seems that the only way to get keys is to have the key number or code, I have the owners manual and found a penciled number, does anyone know how many digits are in the code? Oh, the car is a 72

There are locksmiths that do house calls. I used one once when I was locked out of my car on the street once. IIRC it cost me $60. You can use this option if you can't find the key #.

I *think* it's 6 digits, but don't quote me on that. If you have AA (you own an old Porsche, you *need* AAA), they'll make a key on the spot. If no AAA, take the passenger door handle off & take it to a locksmith & have him make a key.
