Muni course. For 10 points, what hole is that?

Agree, JP, kinda like a Ferrari 400SA, but US wire wheels, I'm betting one off Detroit concept car by Italian stylist. Still searching.

Looks a little Facel-Vega ish from the back view you posted. Perhaps not though.

Avanti? It resembles an Avanti only because it has 4 wheels and an engine in the front. Other than that, not even close .............. The Cap'n

Are you writing a book or what?

no, I'm just playing a game in a german forum

first it was easy, but now that there most of the well known cars were already taken it's getting harder and harder to find a solution

I know for sure that this one is a car from the USA
and that it's a brand that no longer exists

Posted by: r_towle Dec 20 2005, 12:41 PM

well I looked hard.

I rules out GM for the corvette was the 2 door coupe.
Ford had the T-bird...

That left nash, (sounds like ash) chrysler, studebacker, and more...

I am leaning towards chrysler/dodge...
I have not found it yet...

I do remember seeing this car on either my classic car or car crazy...

I looked through those archives...no luck.

I looked through my american cars of the 50's book....no luck...

It has some flavor or chrysler though...

Long v8, im thinking hemi...

It is frustrating...

If you have a frontal pic...that will make it easier...
Pinan Farinin only worked for Nash in the fifties..

Posted by: TROJANMAN Dec 20 2005, 04:55 PM

1953 Dodge
Storm Z-250
Bodied by Bertone
The Storm Z-250 was developed by Chrysler engineer Fred Zeder to evaluate the feasibility of producing a vehicle that would capture a portion of the growing American sports car market. Built on a rigid tube frame chassis, it was intended to be a dual-purpose sports/racing car. When raced, the comfortable touring body currently fitted could be removed by unscrewing four bolts and replaced with an ultra light 150 pound fiberglass body. The Storm did not reach production because high production costs would have made it too expensive to sell in profitable quantities. If series produced, the Z-250 would have competed with the Ford Thunderbird, Chevrolet Corvette, and Kaiser-Darrin.

Ever seen a Jensen Interceptor?

I put a stereo in a guys Rolls last year, he has a Jensen Interceptor that Wayne Newton gave him. In 1973 the car was like $30,000.00 and was supposed to be seriously fast and a pretty good handeling car.

Ever heard of this car?

Interceptor Mk II - 1969-71 (V8 - 330 HP)

Jensens, including the Chrysler powered interceptors and the Lotus powered ones have the usual British car diseases....Girlingitis, Lucasites, and overweight problems. dead horse.gif

Everyone is about to tell you how bad the electrics will be on the jenson, yet I will predict they will fall on the old "Check the grounds...*cough* ... I don't know" when asked about why my 914s electrics have never been right....
