Hi,
I'm swapping a different engine into my brother's car over this week, and I've got an old gasket without a replacement. It's the think gasket that goes between the case and the arm for the oil filter. I've called around, and it looks like it's only available as part of a rebuild kit, and I was wondering what everyone does. It's mostly intact, so I'm planning on just tracing it and cutting it out on some gasket material, but if there's a better way of sealing it up, I'm all ears.
Thanks!
Do as you said out of new gasket material....
Spread a thin coat of black silicone seal on both sides and bolt 'er up.......
or use loctite 518 "Gasket eliminator" and don'teven worry about the gasket...
