914World.com _ 914World Garage _ fuel pump genius wanted

relocated fuel pump up front, (see picture). After plumbing everything and powering it up, seems that pump can't pull the gas from the cel. Maybe too much of a vertical rise?

Do we need to install an additional pump, replace the factory pump, or maybe we need to bleed the system?

*dumb question alert*

Is it pumping the right direction?
Is the wiring polarity correct?

Wont work.

You need the cell with the pump pickup at the bottom.

OR..OR run a 2nd small 3.5 PSI carb pump (they suck) and link to the two together on the same relay/wiring. Feed your injection pump with the line from the 3.5 pump.

Our stock injection pumps dont "suck". They only push.

That cell requires you to "suck" the fuel from the bottom (out the top)

Which is why the stock pumps are mounted lower than the lowest point of the gas tank.

we have a low amp 7psi inline pump at the shop. Will that work or do we need to get the 3.5psi?

thanks,

The 7 psi will work fine. You just need a feeder pump for the injection pump.

Glad I could help. I live for this shit.
