You prolly won't like it much till March/April.
We'uns just hunker down November thru Feb.
Today is definetly hunker weather.

Medford won't be quite so wet as up north. Can be fairly nice when the fog/smog lifts. Medford can get pretty socked in. Ashland is much better, but housing is more costly there.

New track where? In Orygun? Where?

Or are you refering to Miller Motor$port$ Park in Salt Lake?

Probably one of the more expensive tracks around...

What route do plan on taking to Medford?

Posted by: mk114 Dec 28 2005, 01:37 PM

Going to go alon I80 through Reno then head up to Medford

Faster than all of the winding roads I here

Posted by: adam912 Dec 28 2005, 01:47 PM

Yeah! Welcome to the Rogue Valley! You'll enjoy the weather here. 100+ in the summer for a few weeks, sorta wet in the Winter (Grants Pass just north of Dredford reported 2 inches last night but this is a wierd storm) and all around a beautiful place to live. I've been in Ashland 17 years now and worked in Grants Pass almost all of that time, a 50 mile commute, but in the Porsche the only time the drive is not a joy is the one or two times in 17 years the freeway's been icy.

Hope the move goes well!

Adam912, over and out.

Medford Mail Tribune, daily for Medford. Ashland Tidings, not sure if it is a daily or not.

yay reno
boo I-80

i pray for you the pass doesnt get closed

Yeah, those passes can get nasty! That's where an air-cooled VW (without traction devices, BTW) merrily passes all those 4-wheel drive goons stuck in the snow/ditch biggrin.gif BTDT many times.

Ice on the freeways only a couple times in 17 years? Where?!? Because the four years I spent in college in Ashland that certainly wasn't true. Grandparents lived in Rogue River and girlfriend was from Granny's Pants (Grants Pass) and home was up in Philomath (near Corvallis). I've traveled that I-5 quite a bit...

But it is a prettier place with MUCH better weather than what we get up north. Just watch out for the damn rattlesnakes and black widow spiders icon8.gif

Medford's great!!

I have a couple of college buddies from there. I do have to say that it is the only place where I have seen for-real live FREEZING FOG though. Wierd stuff. But, I think probably not a very frequent occurence... summers seem really nice there.

Make sure to take a trip down the Rogue when you are there- done it twice. Outstanding rapids, and drop-dead incredible scenery. Just try not to think about "Deliverance"...

Take care and have fun,
-Todd
